Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Roundtable
C. Natalie Lui Duncan, the National Ombudsman and Assistant Administrator for Regulatory Enforcement Fairness (Acting), U.S. Small Business Administration, will hold a regulatory enforcement fairness roundtable in Eau Claire on September 21. The roundtable is part of the federal government’s process of understanding how regulations impact small businesses around the country. Small business owners are invited to air their concerns and engage SBA and other Federal officials on ways the government can best support their success. Agencies will also share resources and programs for entrepreneurs and small businesses. Seating is limited; small businesses can register at https://sbaroundtablewi.eventbrite.com
The roundtable takes place as SBA Administrator Linda McMahon is encouraging small businesses to comment on reducing small business regulation. President Trump’s recently signed Executive Order 13777 requires all federal agencies to designate a Regulatory Reform Officer and develop a process of evaluating their existing regulations and determine which ones should be repealed, replaced or modified. Those who would like to provide specific comments on the SBA’s request for information on reducing unnecessary SBA regulations by October 16 can do so here.
