The Village of Shorewood is seeking to fill the position of Facilities Maintenance Craftsman. Under the general direction of the Public Works Director and Assistant Public Works Director, perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance work in connection with the repair of buildings and mechanical equipment. The position will operate a variety of power and hand tools necessary to accomplish the tasks. The person will need to maintain and repair roofs, HVAC units, boilers, floors, furniture, air conditioners, doors, locks, and other building related items. The position will be required to respond to emergency situations after hours including snow and ice operations. Minimum qualifications include a High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and three years of experience in the building trades, supplemented by or including some training or experience in welding, masonry, and cement finishing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Selected candidate must also successfully complete a drug test and physical to show they can perform the physical demands listed in the job description as well as the possession of a commercial driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
